We also have small business who are charging GST but refuse to give a bill for the same. They are raising the price on the pretext of GST but do not show the same on the bill or refuse to bill. more

This sort of complaints are being received almost every day with proof of the invoice and the MRP. At least for the efforts taken by the consumers the department should come out with some explanation in this column. Otherwise the whole exercise becomes futile. If the authorities and the Government is not concerned about the customer being fleeced ,we should resort to other course of action . We can tuck in a small 200 ml water bottle when we go to such restaurants and avoid ordering the bottled soft drinks and order only the fresh juices. Or drink from your bottled water taken by you. MRP violation is one thing here . But in many cases it is ridiculous to see water being sold for Rs. 50 and 60 . These restaurants have to be blacklisted by us at least [if authorities don't want to ] and seek some other places of eating where they don't charge exorbitantly. WHY NOT WE CONSUMERS TAKE THE LEAD AND GOVERNMENT FOLLOW. more

How is this possible.. To allow all the cinema theatres,entertainment places to charge any amount irrespective of printed mrp/unbranded eatables from a customer and take action against a shopkeeper even if he sells the product one rupee more tha the printed...? more
