Brij Gupta , I was shocked to see your post requesting for suggestions from members as I have seen you as a Yoga specialist giving several suggestions for the ailments through Asanas and Pranayama as remedy. Now look at the many useful chats posted for our benefit. There have been 3 very good suggestions in the chat that I will store it for posterity [for future generations] .The following is the suggestions for the readers, a friendly guidelines : Ms. Swati Varma , read the resource post and the chats posted on 1st August. As you are a naturo pathy consultant y ou will know what diet to be followed. * Relieve the pain and distress , irritation and swelling in the area concerned. Pain and irritation can be managed by the Ayurvedic ointments suggested by members. They have suggested ointments from Himalay drug company and also Allopathic Proctosidal. While applying these ointments avoid using the applicator as it may hurt the already sore area and cause more pain and bleeding as the plastic one has sharp edges . USE YOUR FINGERS WELL COVERED WITH A GLOVE OR TO BE PRACTICAL A CONDOME THAT IS CHEAP TO SMOOTH THE ARES. * Follow a Satvick diet ; easily digestible food with green and leafy vegetables . Good to follow one of our members who had gone even to the extent of giving the % to 60 . The other 33% SHOULDNOT contain non vegetarian and SPICES very importantly. This diet also includes roughages like Beat root, Radish. These have to be steamed or microwave cooked with little Turmeric powder which has a curative property [don’t forget to add a dash of pepper{only a dash } which enhances the utilization of the active ingredient in Turmeric in the blood stream.] Be informed that the stools will be red in colour and not to get alarmed when you consume beat root. * The next most important tip is don’t strain in the toilet to evacuate your bowels ; be satisfied what ever comes out and come out of the toilet to attend to other occupation. Don’t spend more than 5 minutes . This is an advice to people who convert the toilet into reading room. House has lot of place to sit and read the papers and story books. *And the Ashwini Mudhra suggested by Mr. Dogra is the one to relieve in the long run from all the anal problems.. Herbal Treatment for Piles Dear Swati, I would suggest the following herbal medicines for your present state of sufferings to bring best possible results: 1. Liv.52 (Himalaya) - One tablet twice a day after meal. 2. Zandu Nityam Churna (Emami) - One tablespoon powder with warm water daily after dinner for three days. After seeing improvement in bowel movements, continue with the same dosage on alternative days or twice a week after dinner. Finally after satisfactory bowel movements, take the same quantity of powder regularly on every Saturday after dinner to get rid of constipation and host of stomach disorders. 3. Arshkalp Vati (Patanjali) - Two tablets twice a day after meal. 4. Kanchnar Guggulu (Patanjali) - One tablet twice a day after meal. 5. Punarnavadi Mandur (Patanjali) - Two tablets twice a day after meal. 6. Kasisadi Tel (Baidyanath) - Apply few drops of oil locally on piles twice a day. Please Note: You will need to take the above herbal medicines regularly for several months with utmost patience to achieve long lasting benefits, since natural products have holistic healing qualities on the body and take extra time for absorption and producing satisfactory results. Suggestions: You will need to change your dietary habits and life style by avoiding non-vegetarian, oily, spicy and junk food, wheat products, pickles, chocolates, ice creams, sweets, tea, coffee and aerated cold drinks, as these stuffs are not good for health and accumulate toxins in the body to cause illness. Avoid taking milk products but fresh and sweet buttermilk is recommended. You should take good amount of vegetables, salad, fruits, dried fruits and fruit juices every day to energize your body. You should eat pulses and dried beans moderately to keep your body weight under control. Avoid eating sugar and soybean products. To replace sugar, jaggery or honey should be used. In place of wheat products, eat multigrain flour consisting of Jowar, Bajra and Nachni for good health. Gluten in wheat is the main cause of host of stomach disorders. Your food intake should be 80 percent alkaline and 20 percent acidic. Exercise regularly or else you can adopt a habit of going for brisk walk daily. Drink sufficient water every day to flush out toxins from the body. Drink half lemon juice in a glass of hot water daily. Take proper eight hour sleep daily. Urinate before and after meal. Drink a glass of water after urination. Brush teeth before going to bed at night to keep them healthy, strong and disease free. Avoid stress and face the discomfort with utmost patience. You must treat your constipation in the first place to bring regular bowel movements. Listen and enjoy soft music to sooth your body and mind as music is always good for health. You should avoid anger, hatred and adopt a habit to forgive all. Praying God will bring peace and courage to fight the illness since prayers have more powers than medicines. Make a habit of donating money, food and clothes to poor and needy people. Avoid constipation at maximum extent , simple way to go thru dietician or safe home food package Take early morning warm water , then before breakfast take almonds/akhroat, try to take light breakfast as bread etc Avoid spicy food in lunch , prefer fruits , here papaya is very good Lunch must be just sufficient , not to be heavyeater. After dinner eat papaya for few days , till yr morning toilet becomes smooth (no constipation) Regularly eating papaya is good for piles. Use proctesydl ointment in affected areas for few days till u get pain free stool (before sleep), morning and if needed in evening. more
