Loot in bank locker rentals

So some of the banks have decided to profiteer in this pandemic. For instance ICICI has increased locker rentals from 2400 to 9000 pre and post pandemic.

People who live in flats for safety keep their valuables and important documents in lockers so while commercial real estate is cheaper these banks want to charge more.

Will some Govt dept stand up or continue to support this 250% price increase in an year when earnings and savings are both hit and onion and tomato are harder to afford.

Of course the Govt officials are well employed and not facing layoffs more

Surely the government needs to control the prices of everything in India. What are they governing for? The prices of vegetable and eatables has gone thru the roof. So have some items eatables, of course. Butter which was Rs.47/- before the pandemic is now Rs.57/-, every single commodity except for some has increased at least by 25%. How are we to afford? Secondly some shops are charging us Rs.25/- per cotton bag. This is an unfair practice and should be taken up by the government. This has taken place after the plastic ban which is no longer in force due to the pandemic. The Pune Municipal Corporation has decided to charge its members 40% of the ARV in dire times such as these and we have no option but to pay up! more
Such unhealthy practices are growing undesirably in this regime. No private institutions want to lose an opportunity to generate revenue when Govt. usually remains silent on each & every issue on the pretext of open market economy and no more Govt. intervention. So sufferings of common people will never end as no positive outcome is expected now a days. It's so sad. more
Let us not start a stampede more
