Loot in India by hotels

The Govt needs to review seriously why a wedding in a 5 star or good hotel costs 2 or 3 times the cost in Thailand or Sri Lanka etc in a better hotel or resort . A normal room costing 12000/night becomes 30-35,000/night for wedding in India. A duty free liquor bottle costing Ra. 4000/- becomes Rs.16,000/bottle during a wedding in India. 100% increase is also acceptable but why 300-400% hike is allowed in hotels in India? This is biggest cause why people think of foreign destinations. All of us would give first preference to Indian destinations when this daylight robbery by Starred hotels is stopped. more

What is self contradictory. I have clearly stated that government should not control prices. Let market take control. What is contradictory? more
What ever it is There is loot on liquor in our country. At goa airport one rum peg cost 1100 when one can buy three bottles in this price in Gurgaon more
truly said CSN and main advantage is money is in India and we do not have to lose foreign exchange so it helps our people in some way more
Why should government control free market. Hotels charge more because people can afford and want to out do others. Besides all the guests can not travel abroad and spend the money for airfare, hotel etc. We don’t know how much black money goes into this. You and I can not afford to pay the price and limit ourselves. Even among us people dodo extravagant weddings and even borrow Money. Weddings are too lavish and a lot if wastage occurs. It is after all a public announcement of a private affair to put it bluntly. Do not try to bring in government legislation into this. Compare a cup of coffee in a 5 star hotel to a normal restaurant. Will you control the price of coffee. Let people who can afford to pay spend the money. more
This is self contradictory more
