Loss of Money

I have experienced that when booking tickets even after one selects need seats together, seats are assigned in the same coach but far away from each other. Now if its a young family with 2 kids they cant afford to take side upper berths far away from each other.

As a result, one books a ticket and has to cancel it and they loose 15% of their money. Straight loss for no fault of passenger. This is trhough irctc site.

Can the localcircles get IRCTC and Minister to action on this? Off late Railways perception has taken a hit and if they dont make passenger friendly moves it will only worsen.

Hope for corrective action. more

Railway usually allot seats, which are vacant without application of mind. There is also a provision to select (in case of group) only to allot in one place, if available. Now the suggestion is that before the payment is received, let the IRCTC site show the alloted seat and who ever is not interested, they will change the train or timing. more
It is a critical case. It's a great problem also. But solution must be registered by higher authority. In democracy it is impossible to satisfy all. Railway Minister should take the decision what will be better tomorrow morning. I have nothing to say anything about this. Before 50 years middle berth and upper berth may be possible to allocate. But after 50 years lower berth facilities first as they have no capacity to climb up berths. I don't know whether I am right. more
