LPG cylinders' price frequent steep hike and denial of subsidy.

Until March 2020, subsidy on gas cylinders used to be credited to the Bank account without any problem. I've not anytime voluntarily opted out of the subsidy scheme. However, I'm not getting any subsidy credited to my account from after April 2020. Nor the Govt. has declared so far, withdrawal of this LP gas subsidy. I'm not getting any clear reply from the dealers/agency on not getting the subsidy credited to my Bank account. Even a search for the information from the web-sites is not helpful. However indicates that the subsidy is still being continued n no mention of its total withdrawal. Sadly, the LPG price is being steeply increased from 2017 with no limits n harassing the common man.
I request anybody with knowledge on this subsidy, share here. more

I fully endorse Mr Rao's statements. I have also not received subsidy from April 2020 till date. As I remember it was suspended due to covid-19 period but the suspension is continuing. Govt should declare that for how long the suspension of subsidy will continue. It is unfortunate that on one hand it registering and giving free LPG connection with free first cylinder and on the other side Govt has suspended the subsidy for existing beneficiaries. Thru Local Circles I want to know the Govt view that how long this suspension will continue. I am a Senior Citizen (80) having no pension and no income and facing hardship every month. I wish Govt declares its policy for this class of senior citizens. more
Though not completely withdrawn, the subsidy amount has been drastically reduced and till July, 21 we were getting around Rs.61/- per cylinder. The reasons for not getting the subsidy by Mr. Jagannatha Rao may be due to some technical faults. Mr. Rao should take up the issue directly with the concerned oil company. more
Actually it is very unfortunate that Govt is not crediting subsidy amount for the last about a year or so, without formally announcing its total withdrawal for all domestic consumers. A clarification is needed from the Govt, otherwise there is no meaning of 12 subsidized cylinders to each of the domestic consumers, other than those who have voluntarily surrendered their subsidy amount. A VERY frequent increasing price of gas refills is also pinching. more
Propane - butane price rise in international market has contributed to LPG price rise, according to OMCs. 14.2Kg LPG cylinder is Rs. 911/- (Rs25/- more) in Kolkata. 19Kg cylinders used in hotels/restaurants is Rs.1770.50 (Rs 73.50 rise) in Kolkata (figures could be approximate). Around Rs.50/- more towards household budget. During the prevailing Corona crisis, common men are likely to be hit most. more
my LPG subsidy is credited in my bank account of Rs.3.67/- only. Govt. has also not withdrawn it but as per Govt. act it is automatically withdrawn. more
