जैनरीक दवाइयों पर एम आर पी बहुत ज्यादा छापा जा रहा है ,होल सेल मार्केट में जो दवाई 12/= की मिलती है , उस पर 135/= एम आर पी प्रिंट है . रीटेल में उपभोक्ता को जैनरीक 135/= में मिलती है. लगभग सभी दवाइयों का यही हाल है . भगीरथ पैलेस जाकर ट्राई कर सकते हो . एम आर पी पर कोई कण्ट्रोल नही है . जनता को लूटने का आसान रास्ता एम आर पी मुहैया करा रही है . more

The context of MRP here is on Generic versus Ethical (Branded) medicines. The Generic medicines are supposed to be much cheaper than Ethical, yet the MRPs of generic medicines are same or more which govt. should look into to prevent corruption at various channels indicated above and to prevent loot of consumers. more

MRP is a general issue not confined to medicine only. There are number of products where the MRP is exaggerated. Some of the items are automobile parts, sanitary hardware items, paints, electronic and IT products, footwear, lather products, ready made garments etc. etc. MRP is also a issue which just cannot be handled by Govt. as the issue is not to be controlled because of no interference with pricing. MRP fixation was left to the market forces, consumer awareness and competition to take care of. However, the cartelisation has come in the way obstructing to fixation of prices by the market forces. The garments now available all the 12 months with one or the other sales discount like buy 1 get 3 free suggesting huge margins in the MRP fixed. The generic medicines are the cheapest and there is a ratio of as high as 1:100 and the ways have to be devised so as to make availability of these generic medicines in Hospital stores, nursing home etc. more

There is no identification of generic and ethical(branded) medicines, as no where generic medicines is written either on carton/packing, medicine (tablets, capsules, powders, injections etc.). True it is loot from consumers and booty for manufacturers, whole-sellers, retailers, doctors and concerned govt. department entire machinery. Though no. of postings and comments have been done by me and other members earlier, no action has been taken so far. Are we wasting our time in writing these posts, comments without action from other end? more
