Maharashtra Govt. reduces stamp duty on residential house for EWS & LIG groups

All these initiatives are for helping the builder community and those illegal slum dwellers. As er news paper reports the Maharashtra Government has made a proposal for providing 400 sq ft carpet area flats to all illegal slums and hutments in big cities of Maharashtra so naturally this is one step towards that. In India those who earn Money through legal means and honest ways are snubbed and insulted but those who engage in all types of illegal activities get the best treatment with red carpet.

If this type of proposals are approved why should any one follow any rule , they cry foul on rape and other such things what is the use.

In this case also LIG is considered as those having income upto 6 Lac per year and flat/ house area 60 sq mtr OR 600 sq FT which is a misnomer if a person can purchase flat of 600 sq FT he can pay stamp duty also. But basically all such rules are for helping some lobby and generating black money nothing else. HONESTY IS NOT THE BEST POLICY now that is INDIA one should learn and bear in mind more

Why Free ? more
I totally disagree with Mr Jyoti Dua. Slums should be eradicated. They occupy prime space in a city like Mumbai, and you want to give them something more free to regularise. Why? For whose benefit. We do not need these slums. Eradicate them, if necessary by force and send them back to from where they had come. They are a nuisance in a city. more
This Fadanwis Government will dump the BJP GOVERNMENT more
Agree that nothing should be free. more
I beg to disagree that this is a proposal to please Builders. How do we remove slums? Can it be done by FORCE or by any new LAW. The respected circle members will agree that we need to elliminate slums. If so, this is a way out. I highly appreciate this decision. In place to providing dole, less us make life easier for our poor class in the cities. A slum adds many problems like polluting environment, greater load on our public health system, stress on public services like transport, water, electricity etc. Therefore, any action to reduce slums is a good policy. more
