Till the accountability of the government officers is fixed, and action taken, these accidents will keep happening more
Thanks to GOD about Howrah bridges made by English Eng and technician at early era.....otherwise if were our Govt made than it become RAM Bharose..... Its a black spot .. question mark about skill and ability to our GOVT affiliated body and so called engineers and other agencies who involved and were audit all norms regarding building , fire and bridges safety and maintaince etc but even through unable to stop such bad incidents... Its all about old bad habits for not upgradation on technology updation , absence of training and skill...etc more
What is the use of knowing who is the culprit. Cause this bridge is 60 years old . I feel we must ask government about they are doing for safety of common peoples. Nothing is going right in west Bengal. Day by day situation is going out of control. What happen to Ganesh talkies flyover? Nothing and same will be case here. They will give cash incentive to some person who have died and will setup committee . This bridge was under repair since long time but work standard was very slow there were no extra precaution was take during repair time. more
Why can't we (not only the Govt but the people responsible for maintaining the bridges or whatever)  be more proactive rather than reactive....then this tragedy could easily have been avoided. Dipak Kumar BanerjeeSr. GIS AnalystMobile: +91 98310 54606From: Radhika Maheshwari Sent: Tue, 4 Sep 2018 20:33:25 GMT+0530To: dipak@banerjeemail.comSubject: "Majerhat Bridge Collapse" more
Negligence, casual attitude, incompetency besides others are clear signs that caused such disaster and loss of innocent lives and this goes on only that it is awaited till the matters die down to go into oblivion The grown shrubs and cracks developed on the fair stretch of the bridge amply proves the efficiency of the PWD Deptt entrusted for the bridge maintenance and now the scapegoat made would probably be a Class IV staff. more
