Major job crisis for freshers

The real effect of too many people in corporate sector and AI type of technology is kicking in.

Students at NITs are being recruited at 3.5 lakhs per annum. Most of the tier 3 IIT batch is still sitting unemployed. Private engineering college graduates are not likely to find jobs.

What does this mean? It means that the fee charged for engineering programs by public and private colleges have to reduce or they will have to shut themselves

Situation is pathetic more
Medical Education is Population based and more the Population, more and more Doctors will be required. India with a population of 145 Cr has a lot of scope for Doctors. Now as far as Engineers are concerned, unless more Industries are opened and its product is Export Worthy, Engineers will remain Unemployed. This is going on for last so many Decades. more
There has been too much of euphoria in the last few years on the earning opportunities, overseas jobs, US citizenship ..... and the associated social status of tech professionals. People dont / fail to understand that every business goes through what is called 'business cycle' and tech industry is no different. engg colleges have been trying to join the party 'make hay while sun shines' and they went into a fee jackup trip. slowly everyone learnt / learning that the party wont last long ... even tech companies have learnt to run their 'tech business' with just above average science stream or even any graduates after putting them through a targeted training program. Even engineers from tier 1 institutions have to be put through the training program before the companies employing them can monetise the manpower resources ... This is part of hard learning ..... people need to be level headed and the party will find its own character Subramanian https://primeconsultinggroup.in/ https://primeconsultinggroup.in/product/know-your-enemy-within-bridging-knowledge-and-practice-enhance-employability-realise-your-worth-for-mbas-aspiring-mbas-budding-achievers/ On Wed, 13 Dec 2023 at 17:39, Sudesh Rai wrote: > more
Dire situation more
Everyone wants to get into IT and the latest and greatest technologies. Earlier it was doctor or engineer. Now it is IT. In today's world there is a wide spectrum of areas of learning and work. Instead of pushing their wards to IT or the standard courses, parents should look at the interests of the their wards and enable them to pursue the courses they want. As for the IT courses, the less said the better. The quality is pathetic (talking from experience of assessing candidates and also conducting courses for students). more
