Majority Parents now in favour of schools reopening...

Karnataka should also open schools for all classes. There is an interesting finding in UK where they are sending younger children to school first because risk is less apparently for them more

While risk of serious illness is much less in children, the risk of their being carriers & transmitters of infection is much greater than that of adults, as social distancing as well as mask usage are a lot more difficult if not impossible to implement. As such, children actually enhance transmission risk and that's something which the west has chosen not to study. I see no reason to force children to be in school till infections are well and truly under control or a much larger degree of vaccination achieved. Children who have access to on-line learning MUST NOT be forced into schools. Children without such access, may be allowed to attend physical school under suitably monitored conditions. Whats the hurry ? A year in a lifetime of 50 years is not much of loss compared to risk of transmission to their parents and potential loss of life of their grandparents. more
Not mandatory, but can work full, without forcing parents, management, children and teachers... more
Yes. The Schools, Colleges and Universities should work in full. Recent study by the VC of Ajim Premaji University has stated the learning has declined due to corona period closure of educational institutions. We are not yet accustomed to full online learning. As another educationist suggested we must also suspend the vacation, as most of us were home bound during the previous academic session. So no vacation, the Govt. should order now. Virus is still around. Lower infection figures should not make us complacent, just like the Western world did in November last year. No need for middle and primarily schools to open for this academic year, which is only for a couple of months more. more
Not supporting opening. In Kerala 125 kids and 4 teachers contacted COVID 19 after a week of opening the schools more
