Make Railway Better

Similar situation Exists even in Rajdhani. I travelled from Ranchi to New Delhi on 13 sep 2019 by Ranchi -Delhi Rajdhani. Dirty washrooms, no toilet papers and soaps, even no water in the tanks. Food is worst than a local Rehdi shop who sells daal chawal for Rs. 10-12. They charge Rs 120 per plate and if you ask for Rs. 45 plate they would give same thing without paneer which is so poorly prepared that you will not eat it. When and how these cheating is going to stop and who is going to take the responsibility for the same. After eating the train food I felt like getting food poisoning and could not recover for next 02 days. Let’s hope for the authorities to notice it. And it is not that difficult only needS audits and having some control on rampant corruption in allocating catering services in Railways. more

The railways should stop making rail foods compulsory for the passengers travelling in Rajdhani and other premium trains. Instead, it should be made optional and fare should be reduced to that extent for those opting out. Let them make their own arrangements. The railways have utterly failed in bringing the desired improvement in this regard during last 4/5 years and it is high time now that they give it up making food facility optional without expecting some extra earning on this count. more
as regards washrooms, people now use western type commode with jet spray but we still found the mug and indian toilets not in use for several years at least passengers travelling in IInd/IIIrd A/C or Rajdhani/Shatabdi trains not like the old one but they still exist in most of the trains God knows for whom.the services of this kind never improve from time to time. 02/11/2019 ajay parikh more
i have the same experience,be it shatabdi or Rajdhani or other trains for that matter, the quality of food, tea, cofee, are worst than a poor road side dhaba.i do not know if it is hygienic, pure. in fact no body cares for quality and hygiene etc in food in railways.all wants to earn money by hook or crook.forget about trains, the railway stalls at the platforms are also involved in serving inferior quality of food with full price.the oven is a machine which gives impression that the food is hot, whereas it a main cheating machine.fridge is also used to keep all BASI food to store in and to serve it next day as a fresh one by using the oven. the cocroaches and all kind of sects can be found every where.the vessels used may not be cleaned properly.the hands of the cook may not be washed.the sabji and grains may be of inferior in quality and they also not cleaned or washed upto the standard.. who knows the quality of water used for cooking, cleaning, washing etc?.cooking- platform itself in bad condition.factually,we are leaving in a society where no one is concerned of health and hygiene.it includes the system/the govt./the concerned officials and ofcourse we the citizens who are used to all these.ajay parikh 02/11/2019. . more
I do agree. Food on train is not very hygienic or tasty and some times it may be harmful to our digestion system.. more
I do agree. Food on train is very harmful. Govt must check, make a sudden visit and check the quality of food. Moreover passengers may file a written complain to the guard, tte and station master. more
