1.ask tt to report status of reservation every 100 km
2.give current booking
3.give booking for quota cities(e.g. train seat remains vacant due to specific quota... so give sitting reservation with minimal charge for say 100 km distance.
4.reduce the role of tt in allocation of seat
5. make steps to prevent corruption
extra money recovered from tt should be considered as corruption

I had already suggested in this column to stop misuse of vacant berths by TTEs a provision can be made that RAC passenger can ask for a regret certificate on nominal payment of say 5rs and tte has to explain subsequent receipt issued for allotment of berths. And surprise raids be conducted during rushseasons. more
