Make SMS and Web systems real time

I have repeatedly observed that there is a significant discrepency between train position reported at stations and via the sms and web systems of railways.

It is very misleading for those receiving or boarding because they also change platforms last minute. Senior citizens and family like ours with young children cant cope up.

See attached example train showing 8:45 as arrival time at nizamuddin station but showing 8:24 as arrival time in web and sms systems.

Please fix this railways. more

Please do not expect precision and punctuality of trains arrival/departure as in europe......We need to improve the facilities a lot more than we have these today...... No need to get envious when I mention our experiences of trains arriving at destinations within a minute of the published timings.....That's called precision planning and implementation....... more

Yes I too observed such discrepancies very often. Hope God will take care of us. more
Last minute changes in platforms is a very bad habit of the authorities, not only difficult to cope with it with aged, ladies, and young children, sick passengers  it is dangerous too for quick shifting to another platform  for all the passengers waiting for the train altogether. As regards showing of train arrival time through SMS or website, lack of courtesy and care towards passengers by railway is nothing new as they do not care to make public announcements well in time. Forget that, You know even if  they announce they always say 'ane ki sambhavna hei' for last 150years. They are not sure about their own functioning. Ajay parikh 21/07/2019  Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Sat, 20 Jul 2019 at 10:15 AM, Ajay Mittal wrote: more
If the information of train status are posted manually on the web then discrepancies will happen. I suggested earlier that Signalling system (in-platform and out-platform) should be linked to web and as the train (locomotive and signals to have RFID or better technology) passes the signal the web should be updated on real time basis...... more
