Making Ban on Chewable Tobacco Effective: Inputs Sought
Supreme Court in late September made it clear that it has now banned all forms of chewable tobacco products and directed authorities like FSSAI to enforce its directions.
City level polls on local circles state that majority of you think that this ban is not being enforced effectively in your city.

Before putting a ban on consumption, a ban needs to be applied on production! It's as simple as that. more

In my view, every individual is wise enough to understand the hazards of these products. The authorities have already taken sufficient steps to further educate the people and / or make them aware of the hazards. Still if any person is not following and falling prey to these products, what more you expect from the Govt. If you prefer to suffer, it is on you. more

The Ban is Not effective because people are NOT aware about it . There are No TV / radio/ media campaigns. Np celebrity endorses the Ban . We need to Ban this in all public places and it should be a major publicity. more
