Making Dustbins Effective - Addl Inputs

Below are your inputs on making Dustbins effective in India. Kindly review them and if you have any additional inputs, please share them.

We will utilize this checklist for inputs into our policy making as well as share with ULBs across the country.

Making Dustbins Effective:

1. Dustbins should be designed so that stray animals don't eat from them
2. Corporates or Businesses could provide public place dustbins bearing their logo
3. Dustbins should be made of strong material so that they do not break easily
4. Two dustbins must be kept together: One for dry waste and one for wet, bio-degradable waste
5. Dustbins have to be of same colour according to the international standards
6. Dustbins could be installed inside a wall so that they become theft proof
7. Dustbins should be made of recycled plastic so that the production becomes cheap
8. In residential colonies, big sized dustbins should be installed
9. In market areas, smaller dustbins should be placed after every 100-150 meters
10. It should be made mandatory for the roadside vendors to keep a dustbin with them
11. Public offices should have a bin on each desk plus a bigger bin in the corridor on every floor
12. At railway stations, plastic bins should be installed after every 50 meters and should be cleaned after every couple of hours
13. Dustbins in public places should be washed in every couple of days by the municipality so that people do not get discouraged by their smell
14. Stainless steel dustbins of heavy gauge could also be erected on the ground in public places
15. Polybags should cover their inside and cleaning should be done everyday. more

Our Dustbins finish will be brush finish with non-corrosive surface can be use for various Applications. We offer custom made outdoor and indoor fabricated Dustbins that Suits for any area of applications. Why we have to use stainless steel dust bins? Not other materials Mainly These are all reasons : it rusts, Durable, Aesthetic Look... so Enter stainless steel. Stainless steel is a metal alloy with about 10-11% chromium. When exposed to air, the chromium in the metal forms a film of chromium oxide over the surface. This film is passive and non-toxic, and most importantly, it prevents the steel from rusting by shielding it from air and moisture. Even if the metal gets scratched, the chromium oxide reforms seamlessly. This gives us all the excellent properties of stainless steel without the worry of rust. It's also non-reactive, alike aluminium, Plastic & Iron, so we can use it for preparing and cooking acidic foods also. Widely available, good general corrosion resistance, good cryogenic toughness.
