sir,         country like india needs much more development as goods transport concerned. in this regard we should provide a separate line exclusively  for goods train movement for which a bond may be released to the total amount required for 15 years term and make it to invest by the all retired govt. official and servants tax relief for the amount invested both deposit and interest earned as a special case. because now interest in other deposit are less.definitely this will work and railway will on right path. There should perfect Marketing setup for Marketing of Goods Traffic, Special Staff with Marketing MBA should be appointed for the same, They should be provided with forms having their stamps so that the order brought by the concerned person can be identified and Monetary incentive should be given to them. Further if it is noticed that staff is not performing than they should be slapped with monetary punishments. This should be clearly stated in the appointment letter. All the rules and regulation should be clearly displayed on the Railway Website and proper arrangement for FAQ and clarification should be made. The loading and unloading arrangement should be very fast and highly sophisticated. Small customers should be given incentives. Point to Point Train Load should be given preference in movement. GPS system for monitoring and recording the movements should be used. CCTV camera should be installed on the entrance and exit of sidings to note the timing of entry and exit. Some monetary incentives should be attached to the station staff who are responsible for collecting Wharfage and Demurrage charges. more
If goods reaches safely and timely to destination it would be a good means but past experience show goods reach much late with pilferage or in damaged condition and it is not easy to realize the claim more
Now a days Railways is behaving like private organisations they addicted for premium tatkal where they can make more money because of that they are not providing all seats for reservation in peak days like pongal holidays diwali holidays etc. where as in other days they provide all seats for reservations for this pongal they provided on 65 seats for faluknama express where as in other days they will provide 300+ seats more
i think fare is not a issue if the goods reach in time with no any damage.  more
