Guarantee clauses about the quality of work 4. Amount of contract 5. Name of the contractor and his contact details It observed that at present there is total opacity about the contract and nobody seems to be accountable if the road constructed today gets washed out after the first rain. And once it is washed out it is not repaired for years together because it is difficult for the corporation people to justify the expenses on the same road after such a short span of time. BUT NO BODY SEEMS TO CARE AND NOBODY IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE BLATANT LOOT OF PUBLIC MONEY. I HAVE BEEN GIVING MY INPUTS FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS ABOUT INEFFICIENCY OF THE CORPORATIONS BUT MY EFFORTS SEEM TO HAVE GONE WASTE AS THE THINGS HAVE NOT MOVED EVEN AN INCH. 1. All municipal bodies need to have working feed back system. I think very few have working contact system system . Most of the contact numbers do not work. 2. when ever they propose a big change in the area they invite suggestions from public. 3. there must be a condition that before constructing the roads/ bridges necessary NOC be obtained from other related departments.Ex roads are laid and telcome companies dig for the cables and leave the roads at the marcy of the public without proper filling. Recently in April the electricity department trimmed the trees to avoid contact with live wires. But the cut trees were left there for days both by electricity and municipal workers . 4. After the street function based fasivals the concerned authorities must make the concerned persons to repair the damage done to the public property like roads. If required a caution deposit also be collected to ensure repairs. more
