Patronise the local vendors; they need your business to stay alive. Big businesses are slowly killing off smaller shopkeepers and vendors and will one day become monopolies and create their own rules and regulations and we will not be in any position to bargain. more
They create their profit out of this. more
It's a fact that once the 💰 is gone to the service provider, we have no choice except to accept what they deliver, sometimes less weight, different item than what's ordered, etc and we land up then in trouble, looking for remedial action which is time consuming. Online purchases must be reduced to the minimum. Buy from local market, not even super ones. more
On-line shopping may have its advantages where "weights and measures" are not involved. On-line vendors of fresh products like fruits and vegetables have through their extensive advertising made it look like a fashion-culture. We gladly fall for it......and complain later. Why overlook the facility of "redhiwallas" who visit your colony every morning with fresh vegetables and fruits? Or, the vegetables-fruit markets which are just around the corner ? Making use of these facilities would indirectly also provide jobs for those people, apart from your getting fresh not stale products. more
