Mandatory Certification for Certain Imported Foods
Many foods in India (packaged drinking water, infant milk substitutes, follow up formula, milk powder, condensed milk, etc.) currently require mandatory BIS- ISI certification.
It is being evaluated by FSSAI if such requirement for imported foods should be done away with.
We seek your experiences with these imported products or any inputs for or against mandatory certification.

Mandatory certification should continue. BIS certification has a lot of checks and such checks ensure conformance to standards. more

even veges fruits have plenty of chemicals etc injections and GOI not bothered - u just wantede votes right ? more
