I want to ensure we are buying only naturally grown mangoes and not the ones with chemicals and cold storage.

Commercial 'calcium carbide' is not chemically pure - it contains various other minerals like arsenic,phosphorus, silicon etc. in the form of calcium arsenide, calcium phosphide, calcium silicide etc., which also liberates various gaseous substances like arsine. phosphine, silanes etc. It is 'apprehended' that such gases also can advantageously can find way into the fruits. But, what is the extent of such harmful chemicals in commercial calcium carbide? How much such harmful gaseous products are produced ? How much of such gaseous products find their ways into the fruits? I am yet to come across with any such studies published in any peer reviewed journal. Will any of the antagonists of calcium carbide would enlighten me? more

Only natural mango right now is Pairi. Everything else is carbide ripened. Authorities are asleep or taking envelopes more
