Manifesto for Delhi - Inputs Needed

Dear Residents of Delhi:

Glad to have you in this circle. Starting today till Feb 1, we will be seeking your inputs for the BJP Delhi Manifesto for Elections 2015.

With this post, we want to open it and ask you to share the top 3-5 priorities of Delhi according to you.

Please think about all the needs of Delhi like Safety, Water Supply, Continuous Power at reasonable prices, Citizen oriented Governance, Housing, Employment, Cleanliness, Pollution Reduction, etc.

We will then have a detailed discussion on each one these areas using a structured format (Issues, Root Cause, Solutions) so a comprehensive whitepaper can be developed titled "What Delhi Needs"

It will be on the same lines as what was done for the Maharashtra Elections by BJP. Format is available below:

1. Crime against Women 2. Teach Rickshawalas and Autowalas some Road and Civic Sense. 3. Every Rickshaw/Auto Rickshaw User should teach the Rickshaw Driver the correct traffic rules/regulations while using the same. The user should encourage the Rickshaw Driver to follow the rules. 4. Driving Test/ Informative Class should be mandatory for every person / Every new vehicle seeker. 5. Road side vendors should be given a lesson so that they should not block the Traffic. We can not take back the space taken by them but at least we can optimize the situation. 6. I was a car user until I found a better and cheaper way of commuting. Car Pooling and Cabs should be promoted and use of personal vehicles should be discouraged. We can have Odd/even number vehicles on alternate days. 7. I found Railway Hospital and Dispensaries very Neat and Hygiene. Why Can't we replicate the same model in other Govt. run Hospitals and dispensaries.??? 8. Prices of Fuel are going in downward trend but vegetables and pulses are still expensive. When the prices of Fuel were increasing, it was understandable that the cost of vegetables were rising. Why the same impact is negative on Fuel price decline? 9. When all the Crudes are down, why not PNG and CNG at the state level??? 10. It has been observed that immediately after laying a new Road, other agencies come and dig the road thereafter leaving the newly built road in shambles. Why can't we have a system where we can have more inter-coordination between various agencies and the Govt. before proceeding the project. This will/may reduce drastic cost for ex-chequer. Because it is our Delhi and outsiders (especially Labour Class) are not aware of the Civic/traffic sense, there should be a department which should conduct camps/classes for them. more

Delhi government hospitals are in ICU and they need urgent resuscitation. Common poor public gets totally frustrated once they enter a government hospital. Long list of deficiencies and suggestions to improve their condition. This situation is being exploited by AAP and there are AAP workers who are propagating that if AAP comes to power then they will change everything. It is good that they have identified this issue but I think that even BJP can bring few positive changes if it comes to power. I can mail all the deficiencies in our health department and can also take few volunteers for "see yourself" tour of a prestigious Delhi government hospital. My number is 8826013637 and I am a doctor in a Delhi government hospital catering to a population of around 20 lakhs. more
