Manipulaton of Medical Bills by Hospitals

Exploitation of indoor patients by large Hospitals. Majority of patients admitted to Hospital do not have insurance cover. However hospitals exploit their helplessness by imposing heavy charges. Irrespective of status of patient Hospitals insist on visit to patient in the ward twice a day e eveen if a patient insists on one visit. The well off doctors are so greedy that they don't spare a Sunday even. When a patient reports he has several tests reports along but the Hospital refuse to acknowledge these and insist on conducting their own repeat tests thus inflating the cost to patient. You will be shocked to learn that a Hospital of the stature of Apollo Sarita Vihar, New Delhi resorts to fraudulent inflation of bills. My patient was charged for 2 MRIs while I had only one report in hand. When I approached the Hospital for second report I got the shock of my life when I was informed that the charge was by mistake. Similarly the patient was charged thrice for same physio therapy at same time and date twice a day. The Neurologist continued to exploit the patient by ward visits even after MRI disclosed no abnormality and discontinued on instructions. Another practice is to put a patient ICU where he can bleed by a lakh of rupees. The Director Medical and Managing Director committed to look into the grievance but stopped responding to reminders. The IRDAI need to come to rescue of patpatirnts by giving choice to patients on these aspects. Similarly Ministry of Health too should give a thought to this in view of huge claims in Ayushman Bharat. Please make it a point to check paid bills and come up with details so that a petition can be moved against the greedy Hospitals like Apollo, the IRDAI for lack of attention to customer interests and the Ministry to wake up to the fraud. more

Pvt hospitals are run by businessmen ( Doctors who are also businessmen), so motto is to make more money. Any means are accepted. Our politicians, bureaucrats, celebrities & even Babas & Maas are businessmen. So... you suffer. more
Did Shri Ranjit Rai Grover brought such nefarious practices to the notice of Min. of Health (Delhi State as also Govt. of India) more
does this happen in the hospitals of Delhi too, despite the lot of work been done by Kejriwal in the health sector? more
Education and health care services of the country have been taken over by the politicians and the moneyed people of the country who never feel ashamed of being engaged in looting the common man and poor of our society. It does not make any difference as to how people belonging to middle and poor classes become their preys and lose all their belongings to meet their (education & health services) lust for money for the sake of a bright future/life savings of their dearer one. Surprisingly, our subsequent governments have utterly failed to pay their pointed attention towards these important fields keeping in view the average financial capacity of our people. more
Health and Education fields are long destroyed by politicians all over India. From welfare health facilities, We have come to Insurance Health state . But Who is responsible? Please note that Medical Professionals are also people among us. more
