Many States and Districts underreporting Covid19 deaths

I feel many states of India are underreporting COVID-19 cases and especially deaths. I want localcircles to discuss this and then find a way to escalate this such that this practice of calling a death as non covid death stops. Many DMs and State CMs feel as if their performance is being measured on it. This needs to change.

Read Ordeal of Mr. Nithyaganesh and his father in Mumbai To understand how real this is.

My Covid Experience

My father had body pain and tiredness for 2 days . I consulted local physician who tested his temperature and informed that it is normal and need not worry. My father's health seemed not to improve ,upon doctor's advice I took his blood sample tested

His blood test came out to be triple typhoid . I immediately consulted other MBBS doctor to started his typhoid treatment . He gave him 2 bottle saline (IV). I asked doctor whether I should go for Covid test for which he said he doesn't see any such symptoms

Father's condition worsened further . He started developing breathing problems post which I directly took him for Covid test . Thyrocare person tested him and charged me 5000 which he asked me to Gpay him directly

By the time I could get the test result , my father's condition detoriated . I rushed him to the nearby Nursing Home (Nagree Nursing Home).Who declined to admit him stating they need Covid Negative Certificate for admission . I tried Hinduja , Lilavati , Nanavati , Raheja

Fortis , Reliance health care etc but in vain none of them got him admitted stating they have overflowing with Covid patient . Finally I took him to Sion hospital where he was tested and remarked as death on arrival . They gave me death note as NATURAL DEATH

My Father's last rights were performed and the very next day the result came to POSITIVE. We lost the Covid Fight.

So so sad and a teller of how understated our covid-19 count is. Hospitals and district admins and municipalities are basically finding ways to declare other reasons for death than covid 19. more

It is unfortunate that many patients are dying without proper treatment as like the instant case. Appropriate laws are the need of the hour making it compulsory for all hospitals to admit a patient at first instant without any excuse making refusal acriminal offence. As far as reporting of infection on actuarial, probably our state governments are following the policy of China. more
This is a political message stage managed by the Central government. The government was at sea, when the pandemic struck, allowing a show with large people participation with Trump as Chief Guest in Gujarat. They were also complacent about the Talbighi meet at Delhi where large numbers of foreigners from Covid struck nations participated. The government further rapped itself with glory when they imported bogus Chinese test kits and set back the mass testing process by at least 10 days. Yes, the government was seen to be absolutely casual in its handling of the pandemic. The front line leaders were in hiding and the PM lost, vacuous look on TV and absolutely unconvincing in his sermonizing. To top it all, this government, to cover up its impotence unleashed all its bitterness on the West Bengal government in general and CM, in particular. When the state was fighting the invisible death with the little it had at its disposal, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Piyush Patel heckled Bengal's CM through out that period like jackals snapping at her heels. In addition, there was the governor, Dhankar along with Babul Supriyo on deputation along with the local gang of BJP functionaries. You have no idea Ms Shah, how disgusted we felt about your tallest leaders and the shame we feel that they represent India. more
YES,IT IS PERHAPS BEING UNDER REPORTED.. BUT THE EXPERIENCE OF MR NITYAGANESH IS TERRIBLE.HOW MANY MORE ARE PASSING THROUGH THIS.. INSTEAD OF DUMPING A PATIENT THE HOSPITALS SHOULD FORM A GROUP AND THEN ASK THE PATIENT TO GO TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL WHERE HE/SHE CAN BE ADMITTED IMMEDIATELY.. I PERSONALLY FEEL THAT LOCAL GOVT'S APATHY IS ALSO A REASON FOR THIS.. more
COVID19 is about social distancing wearing mask keeping away from other members who must have have got unknowingly exposed to somebody accidentally so your own family members are the safest, you can take a walk sit in the garden and also safeguard and the next individuals interst from spreading the corona virus. But this can be done only if you have maintained a decent standard of living and not remained in accumulating money and kept low standard or overspending and and not working on decent accommodation or sending all your wealth to build big houses in your home town end up not giving good education to your children nor improve your living standard and also remaining poor to take advantage of govt. benefits. more
It's a medical case with sad end. Sympathies go out to the patient and the family ! The tragic part is that more than half a dozen hospitals in Mumbai refused to admit the patient on grounds that they were already overflowing with Covid-19 patients. Question: Can hospitals take such a stand? more
Mumbai Govt said they will Construct s Hospital for COVID. It must be Fast .
Why Maharashtra Score Half of Corona in India . Maharashtra people travelled Ayofhya ; Punjab Batch Travelled to and FRO Abroad and resuted Positive for Many
Secondly , the other States also could have seen less if Tablighi Jamat Honoured GOI BAN ADVISE OF MASS GATHERING .
CITIZENS RESPONSIBILITY IS PRIME FACTOR OF COVID-19 more
