Mask and Spitting Fines

Not wearing a mask/face covering in Uttar Pradesh to lead to a fine of ₹1000 for the first offence and ₹10,000 for EVERY OTHER time a first-time offender is found not wearing a mask/face covering again; ₹500 fine for spitting.

One thing I wonder though, how shall your track offences? Same police man or inspector to catch?

The irony is that indians in general do not bother about any rule, OM or so. They understand the devastation of covid only when they lose someone from their own family. Before that for them "covid ovid kahin nai hai". If we are law abiding, there is no need of putting fine or checking our offenses. They are spitting on roads since last so many many years, it is their birth right. Inko sudhaarna kya itna saral hai. Besides, some of our policemen may also be using gutka, then how can they refrain the public against spitting on roads. Sorry state of affairs........... more

2nd offence of not wearing mask is only a tool to harras a common man. It should more levied on politicians who openly are offending several times in public eye. more
