Mask Loot in Delhi

A loved one who is a Doctor pulled their mask down to the chin in car while on phone with a patient. And got challaned. Not for talking while driving as they were being driven. But for lowering mask. The sheer unencessity and illogicality of it in October 2021. Delhi has been reporting under 50 cases and thousands of people are roaming on the street without mask but the person in the car must pay the fine.

If you Mr. Kejriwal also fine the person on the road on foot or two wheeler the same for no mask, we have no issues in paying fine. But you arent doing so.

Jisko loot sako use loot lo 🤬 more

Why mask is compulsory when you drive on road ,are they only to avoid pandemic others who do not wear are they immunised so much Double policy is painful.Other town no one is bothered and live conveniently but to live in Delhi is like and drive in army contingent. more
Various agencies are involved to enforce rules. Even Delhi Police is issuing challans. However I think there is little evidence to co relate the same with Covid. Political rallies, protests, ministers addressing press conferences outside in open areas never face such rules and fines. It's just another ploy of raising funds. I believe imposing strict lockdowns has worked in bringing down Covid cases. You cannot move from one place to another whether you wear a mask or not. Atleast people who are fully vaccinated now should be spared such hefty challans. more
what was study towards avoiding pandemic said mask is important but only when you in gathering, public place, public transport like buses metro etc and not when with your family at home or in self driven car. .............How will this help in controlling the spread is not understood more
The MHA, guideline says restriction on number of passengers in cars. advises all to wear Masks ; the strange one is even while driving alone ? what foolishness. The target should be realistic otherwise there will be no meaning for any laws. more
A Society in order to live in a peaceful, orderly and healthy manner would always have a set of laws and rules for guidance and observance by its members for living in peace and harmony. Now these laws and rules unfortunately do not and can not provide for all possible situations (as in above posts) that should be exempted from enforcement. So then it is the enforcer's sensitivity and balance of mind which decide such issues. Minimal salary and qualifications of the police constabulary (not taking into account their heavy workloads and uncertainties of working hours) do not attract the right men and women to join the police. So willy nilly the police constabulary comes from rural areas lacking soft skills and the required sensitivities. But there are few exceptions and they rise to the senior ranks in the police force. Hence the above kinds of situation exists. As regards 1000s pedestrians on Delhi's roads w/o masks do you think even 10 policemen can catch and do paperwork for all of them on Khari Baoli or Lajpat Nagar Market in a day There is much more to say but I will finish here. Hope you will take it in correct light. Thanks more
