Mass Molestations in Bengaluru

I was shocked to read about the mass molestations in Bengaluru.

Of all cities one would think that with open culture, tech economy and education hub, bengaluru will be last place where this happens.

Serious action is needed. What is Police Foundation doing on it. High time for it to take some action. You have support of 150000 people. If you can act and get some policies amended it will be very good. This platform is doing good job in many circles like Railways Swachh, Consumers, Governance, same needed here. more

Who is responsible for the molestation and violence against women ? Child Labor of young girls in our modern colony ? It is a shame on us that we live in a country where even today women and children are not safe. The Education of each and every individuals is at stake now ! Are we living in a failed state - more
There is a necessity to review our entire policing and punishment system in the changing nature of modern crimes. Exemplary and instant punishments need to be set which act as a deterrent. The police way of operating has to be in sync with the modern method unlike their outdated way of responding. They have to be more innovative in their action and should be thinking Out of the Box. more
tum kya kar loge more
I am ashamed with the incidence and consider it as the blatant violation of human rights. Root of all such incidents is the culture of 'Tum kaya kar leyoge'(what you can do)?. I shall suggest the Police departments to deploy mobile powerful video cameras (e.g. mounted on motor cycles, horses etc. , Pictures would relayed in real-time to a control room who, in turn, would activate the police picket(s) nearby. more
Molestation incidence in Bengaluru is not an odd event. This happens everywhere in the country. Many incidences go unreported. Blaming women for their dressing and calling it provocative is one unacceptable and lame excuse from the persons who are in authority and are responsible for prevention of such crimes, and us equally condemnable as such crime. Why can't there be stricter punishments fir the culprits? Why can't a fear be instilled in the minds of those who have such tendencies. In big cities, these miscreants are often those connected to big shots in the city and because of this, the offence is diluted by authorities and they get away with it. Unless there is exemplary punishments which are skso publicised widely, there would not be mush deterrent. There may also be special courts for speedy trials of offences in the category of crime against women with only women judges, if possible. The increasing no. of crimes against women highlight this need. more
