Those in power do not have any accountabi lity, nor do they realise that they are being paid from tax payer 's money for doing their job. Unless periodical performance evaluation of each departmental head / concerned minister is introduced(on which their next move will depend) there is no hope of betterment in a country like India. It appears that corruption is in the DNA of Indian administrative services coupled with law that is blind as well as time killer. They are capable of giving assurances only without taking any action. more  

As you can see not many trust elected and appointed officials... Time is better spent on launching a re-write of The Constitution from the existing 500 pages to say 5-6 pages..... remember The Ten Commandments were.... about 10 lines long..... and have lasted for thousands of years..... Do we really need a 500 page document which NO ONE understands..... we DONOT need lawyers, constitutional and legislative experts here... but common people to do this so they... the common people... can understand it fully.... like the rest of the country.... and then let the common man/woman juries mete out swift and timely "common justice"... In the end..... it is as simple as that.....!!! more  

Let us all take out initiative to invite them call them first and then we can address other issues more  

Fundamental issue here is..... can we trust our elected and appointed officials.... if yes..., then why are they not doing their jobs which they are oaid and EMPLOYED to do (yes they are ALL there to SERVE THE PUBLIC.... you and me). If this is not the case and they are untrustworthy.... why and how will ANY initiative of, by and for the people will achieve ANY results. Once we answer this question..... the rest will follow..... we already have many, many, many, levels of Laws (starting with The Constitution), regulations, rules & procedures, programs etc.. etc.... ON PAPER..... but where is the implementation, enforcement and accountability. The "source" of all the people's problems is The Constitution that was gifted to its people, but was immefiately hijacked as the people can't understand it, due to numerous exceptions, modications, contradictions and self serving interests, etc.... yes it is 500 pages long and ALL the people... (the rich, poor, educated, uneducated, urban, rural, able and disabled, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Christian, Atheist, High Caste, Low Caste, No Caste, etc... yes there are hundreds and thousands of groups) are supposed to fully underdtand it???. The Constituion is the " firm light that shows the way and (right/correct) path" but due to the above length, complexity and contradictions fails in its main objective..... to bring about a fair and equitible country and society where following the law is "rewarding" and breaking it is has severe consequences to those who choose the latter path. All these officials you "want to invite" have "sworn" to uphold the laws and The Constitution already but fail to so.... at every step during every second/minute/hour/day of the year... every year.... from initial employnent to reyirement and beyond..... and who knows maybe in their after and subsequent lives too. The ONLY HOPE is to re-write and update THE CONSTITUTION SO ALL CAN UNDERSTAND IT and "the path" is firm, clear and unambiguous and ACCOUNTABILITY AND AUTHORITY OF THE PEOPLE IS ABSOLUTE using Internet based weekly "referendums, approvals/rejections/recalls/dismissals" and juries manned by the common woman/man to dispense quick, timely and swift "common" justice.... to and for ALL based on THE (NEW) CONSTITUTION. Let this be your/our first steps to restoration of democrcacy for, by and of the people of India(Bharat). more
