Hospital - Line of Treatment - Basic Standardisation
There should be standards published to consumers as to what are the standard lines of treatment in case of various diseases, viral, bacterial fever, influenza, dengue, swine, chickenguniya, jaundice, malaria and many others. These standard treatments along with symptoms, etc should be published in form of an easy to understand booklet, given to every patient who gets admitted for such common diseases.

The working of Govt. Hospitals/Dispensaries is in shambles for the lasy 50 years due to unionzed work culture and dirty vote bank politics. The politicians need votes and do not take action against any erring employee of Health and education departments as these are biggest vote banks in every State. Even the Courts come to the rescue of ghost and non-performing employees due to corruption and non-accountability of judiciary. The whole system of governance has rotten during th last 5 decades and need major overhaul. The linking of salaries to performance seems to be the only solution to improve the working of Govt. institutions at reduced cost.

There are procedures for all treatments in medical science. If the govt. wants it can easily bring some of these to the notice of citizens atleast in a move for public awareness.

The expectation is justified, but implementation is easy. In Government Hospitals the Doctors are hardly available and the testing equipment are not working properly. Hence, poor people moves around expecting free treatment. All other nursing homes and private hospitals take government land and assure to give free treatment to poor people, hardly do that.
