Media selling ultra processed foods

Oreo has 38 GMs % of sugar, six time what WHO recommended to prohibit marketing and it is ultra processed food product.

Yet papers like Times of India take this advertisement of two front pages from oreo and publish.

It TOI a partner in junking India? Tomorrow will it also drug India ?

We need regulator to ban such advertising. more

Climate change & sustainability pose a significant challenge to food production as attempts are made to keep ever-growing population fed, while limiting its environmental impacts. Thus need is to (1) find new & inventive ways to produce & manufacture our food and (2) revise some of our eating habits. To achieve this, it requires novel technology & food sources to create & maintain more sustained food system. Food waste has emerged as one of the sources of carbon dioxide and methane emitter that can potentially contribute to climate change. Cities account for about 70-80% of post consumption food waste. Media has its role to support a sustained food system. more
Yes indeed. Media Houses are on full rampage collecting money from whatever sources they can lay their hands on. In Page-2 after confusing people with the 2011 World Cup write up, they mention that it was no mistake but Oreo helped team India win 2011 World Cup by being sponsors and again in 2022: Oreo is re-launching itself. By the look of injury hit team and pick ace bowler Bhuvaneshwar's death bowling figures in two consecutive matches which we lost(due to him), I have no doubt that team India will sink just as Oreo too will. more
