Medica device MNCs flouting rules
MNCs doing medical device import are most reluctant to follow legal metrology rules to display Name and Address of Actual Manufacturer , batch number, Mfg Date, MRP on unit pack or complaint contact information .Why are legal metrology officials not raiding warehouses of medical device mncs and stock at hospitals?? more

The main reason behind this may differ from states to states and but the common reasons behind this are 1.Insufficient trained Legal Metrology Officers 2.Burden of targets is affecting the effective enforcement in other fields like this 3.Lack of awareness in general public We need special drives and raids to be conducted forgetting the targets to be achieved from stamping and compounding. No expectation from Indian enforcement authorities as they are more concerned with their own monetary shares rather than stopping unfair trade practices. Even erring traders/manufacturer/importers are provided with support to escape from any action if any officer wish to works with diligence. more
