Medical devices price capping
Like the Modi Government capped prices of stents, what is the plan for 20 odd other devices like orthopaedic knee, hip, catherator, intra ocular lenses, etc?
I was told the official who was working hard on this has been transferred and his replacement is yet to act on anything.
How can we consumers ensure such a good endeavour doesnt die down. If it does, consumer looses, companies and lobbies win. more

This is the tradition of this country. If you are honest affecting others chances, you won't be let to live peacefully. Our history says that an honest officer like Collector, SP and others of senior ranks were never allowed to work for public welfare peacefully at any place and frequently transferred from one to other places before they are settled down and start to work for public benefits. Lets try if our joint endeavour delivers some good results for the benefit of our poor common people. more

The hospitals are doing monopoly and charging abnormal rates. The government should come forward with certain guidelines to impose on various activities. more

Recently one my relative was admitted in ICU and sent for Dialysis in other hospital. The Dialysis process was for about 3 Hrs. In this case we were charged for oxygen at rate of Rs.500 in ICU as well as by the hospital where Dialysis was carried out for 2 hrs. I learnt that the oxygen cylinder cost only Rs.200 for general consumer. Hospitals may be getting in still less. There should be checks on such charges. more

These are the methods of weakening consumer protection by the useless administrative governance of the country. I hope the Cabinet Secretary and the Adviser to GoI alone can solve the matter of postings and transfers in a way that no position remains vacant for a day. more
