Medical Insurence

My son purchased the medical policy from HDFC ARG for me and my wife. I admitted for the Cataract point surgery. The company not accepted the claim of eyeglasses. The eyeglasses purchased on the recommendation of the doctor. The company can cut the expenditure of eyeglasses. Please advise me more

Why HDFC ARG. Even the Govt. backed Oriental Insurance is also sitting on the papers form more than Three Years along with the Service Providers and the IRDA is Silent in the matter. This is of the Medical Insurance. Similarly, in case of the Moter Insurance, the claim NOT made by the Owner was settled within month and payments also made to unknown person by Reliance General Insurance AND NOW contesting in the Court of Law for past more than THREE years. IRDA is Silent in the matter. This is the Indian Insurance Industry with tall claims in the advertisements that 92% and 98% claims are settled. Practically all these are Hubung more  
Cost of eye glasses is not reimbursable by any facilitator. Even the employers do not reimburse such cost to their employees eligible for 100% reimbursement of their medical expenses during service period. more  
It depend on the terms and condition of the company. Mine is Apollo Munich which increases the premium about 2000/ every year .for last two years I am finding the same.I do not know what will happen for the third year. more  
What does the policy specify? Please go through the fine print & it should be clear. If you find terms favourable to you, lodge a complaint with Ombudsman of your state. Otherwise, I, personally have pretty bad experience with HDFC group companies - Bank, Securities etc. as far as customer care / service is concerned. They will find every possible loophole to wriggle out. more
