MHA and MOHFW - get COVID treatment in private hospitals standardized

See attached what Maharashtra has done. Full detailed notification. Price capped at 4000 per day as opposed to 21000 some looter hospitals were charging.

You all should get MHA and your state to adopt this.

And if we cant take this up with our state we dont deserve to complain. more

The suggestion and the move is outstanding. So, the effect in Maharashtra. After all, prices of tickets for domestic flights have also been "regulated" by the government. more

Good though late. Another action reqd. is to fix the consultancy fees of doctors in private hospitals. They charge Rs 500 to Rs 1000 for just 5 to 10 mts consultation.This amounts to Rs 6000 to Rs 12000 per hour! And several do not pay tax on this. Govt. must fix the rates and ensure the amount is taxed. more
