Might be good to consider 2 address inclusion in aadhar card

The IT rules allow upto 2 houses within India to be considered self occupied.

With the linking of the Aadhar and voter ID, what would happen to those whose voter ID shows the native home address and the Aadhar shows the address where they are working- might be a metro/city etc.

In effect, since there are 2 different addresses involved, it is high time for the Aadhar to have provisions to accommodate 2 different addresses.

An acceptable proposal by Sandhya. However, with deep regret, I state that there is no body helped me obtaining a correct election Identity card. As far as no perfection in issuing correct ID PROOF, why to link Aadhar and make the issue more worse. This is because, now one can cast his/ her vote even with Aadhar card, by adding it with voter ID, a genuine voter may find his name missing from the manifest. I appreciate our efficiency of our election commission staff. more
Two addresses can be registered with Aadhar as permanent and present addresses but for linking purpose with the Voter ID, only one address should be allowed as per the choice of the concerned two avoid double voting. more
Aadhar to contain permanent address. Voters ID,DRIVING LICENCE ETC CAN BE CONSIDERED FOR PRESENT ADDRESS.National ID to be only with permanent address. more
Dual address not recommended. Where one lives most time of the year is the address. more
We need to go with one address in which the individual lives currently and if he/she changes the residence he/she should get the same updated. In view of this I suggest to have only one card which takes care of all aspects like the Social Security Number/card prevails in US. This will avoid all confusions and clear all the mess. For example I am yet to receive voters card till now though I got registered way back in 1995 but my name appears in the voters list but with a different address which I never furnished. Further my name has been misspelt. Only with photo, i have to be identified. Retain one card make all others defunct to correct the system. more
