Air pollution is widely recognized as a future biohazard, yet its direct effects on human health, particularly in relation to bone health and vitamin D levels, are inadequately understood. While the detrimental impact on respiratory and cardiovascular health is well-documented, the correlation with vitamin D deficiency remains weak. It is increasingly demonstrated that a negative correlation exists between ambient air pollution and vitamin D levels in humans. Reduced exposure to sunlight may result due to increased air pollution - a person may prefer indoor confinement when AQI is high and reaches dangerous levels. Lifestyle factors, including indoor confinement and pre-existing vitamin D deficiency, may exacerbate the detrimental effects of air pollution.

The micro-nutrients are absorbed by our body from foods/medicines, unfortunately, farmers are growing crops with application of only Nitrogen, and Phosphorus. Few are using Potassium. In modern development process, Govt agencies are keeping blind eye towards farmers education. Govt. must ensure proper education with quality inputs to farmers.
