Minimize use of paper for Swachh Bharat
This is a very good initiative, but I have some more additions in it to save papers, minimize use of papers for Swachh Bharat
- When there is a recruitment, it asks the forms, photocopies of the testimonials, certificates, photocopies of research papers (if an applicant applying for research or scienctist position) that documets are around 100 pages which is again blank at other side. There may be a less posts but the institutes gets a hug numbers of applications which is of no use after screening the application and selection of the candidates. If we calculate the cost of one paper production it will be huge. There must be a mechanis to sort out this problem
1. Institute can ask an online application and if the candidate is suitable for the post then some screening shoud done online and then only ask to the selected a waiting list candidates to submit there documents so that the other who are not illigible by any reason can save paper and printing cost.
- Another big issue as I know is PhD thesis, from long time the PhD candidate has to submit his or her thesis to the university, like each candidate has to submit more than 5 copies of the thesis to the university and university ask to print one side only and student also sometime fill that their this is of big volume. But if the university issued the strict guideline for both side printing atleast in case of text it can save a cost of the paper.
ex., if the thesis is of 500 then (including cover page, text, figures, images) then atleast student can save 230 pages and can be use it for another copy. more
