There have been many suggestions so far, both practical and implementable and also theoretical in nature which could get implemented in Ram-Rajya only. Having said this, I have a loud thinking. The railways may wish to explore the possibility of running a "Totally reserved train" as a trial measure on a given route. For this train, entry to the plat form to be restricted only to reserved passengers. more
I request to add 2 more unreserved Coaches in every Express Train. I also request to add one more Ticket Examiner per Train & make Ticket Examiners & Attenders responsible. Only reserved Ticket holders must be allowed to enter the reserved compartments from originating station itself. To atchieve this, Ticket Examiners & Coach Attenders must report for duty at the Coach atleast one Hour before train starting time. Increasing more long distence Express trains also will help. more
Only in Northern part of India this type of lawlessness is prevailing among the travellers. They must be caught in redhand and hevy penalty not less than Rs.1000/= should be imposed and this is the only way to stop this attitude. Railway officials should handle this issue without any fear or favour. more
If I am not wrong, I remember that Railways raised fare in reservation coach by 25% to cover the loss due to ban on waitlisted or unreserved ticket holders in reservation coach. In parliament, the minister agreed that such travels will be totally stopped. It happened for few months, and later it was normal as usual. Railway never reduced the fare. We deserve better travel conditions or refund of excess 25% fare. more
