Just for power showing, extracting loan money, harassing for personal gains, grabbing land and protecting illegal activity in garb of religion. By removing political intervention through transparent law in influencing official decisions, it can be curbed to an extent. But for really making it ineffective, we need stringent laws for recommendation of musclemen employment. more
There should not be more than three body guards for a common citizen. A law to implement it is required. more
The discussion clearly reveals muscle man are used (a) for protection (b) to demonstrate power. For protection, if one needs muscle man, then it conveys the persons does not believe the Govt. that it can provide security to its nationals. If this is the notion than it is a big issue and need to be addressed immediately by the Government of course taking tough stand on criminals, anti national elements and against those leaders who with their statements create sensitivity just to get cheap publicity. If the muscle man are used to demonstrate power, even then Govt. machinery and police authority is responsible. Such persons create fear in the mind of the general people and make our society intolerable. This makes our general people suppressed, and if such persons or their muscle men commits excesses on the common person they try to avoid such persons with muscle man, though feeling insulted. This also makes the society intolerable. Both the above cause can be dealt with by the govt. machinery and not the public. more
Dear Mohan Raja ji, your opinion of musclemen should be used only to threaten but within some limitations to use their power and not to the extend of taking lives or injuring to the level permanent / temporary disability. IS APPEARS UNLAWFUL. INDIA IS A KINDOM OF LAW AND NOT OF KING MINDED PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN MUSCLE-POWER FOR GETTING THINGS DONE AS PER THEIR NEEDS. more
We have to blame our selves for this. We our tradition and culture is even now is that of King and subjects. We believe in slavery. Common man in this country should come together to end this kind of culture should leave this to Police and Courts. Courts are under the constitution and the law made by the dirty politicians. Have you seen a video circulated in social media showing the PM of UK who resigned after a fall out from EU related issue more
