Minimum balance

The government has allowed the bank to fleece their customers as per their wish. The wealthier you are, the more discounts you get though the government says the banks are for the poor and common man. The influential lots get special treatments and get loans as they like. For the common man all rules and regulations are in force and followed strictly. Instead of chasing the looters, the bank take an easy way to charge every service with common man. I am sure a day will come when the bank will start charging you the moment you enter their premises like service charges for sitting, standing, queuing etc etc. If not how come the SBI has collected millions of rupess for not keeping minimum balance in the accounts by the poor people while leaving Mallayas, Modis and all others? more

The poor and illiterate suffer. They do not even know that they are being penalized for MAB. Even for me I never recd. any notification about this and was being charged. I only found out when I updated my passbook. They charge for each account. They do not consider the total deposits with them.I closed all my accounts with SBI except one and moved elsewhere where they take into account the total assets or deposits. Is this taking care of the poor? Is this cashless Digitisation and is this part of taking pride in opening millions of Bank accounts and fleecing the poor. I think they should refund all the penalties and do away with this MAB penalty and lower the minimum balance further. SBI even charges for ordering cheques. They should give 10 or 15 cheques for free per year like some banks do. more
yes of course since Banks want to generate Nirav Mod's / Vijay Mallaya.lalit Modi/Chosi and the list goes on and On ...really Hats off to the great blood sucking economics sheltered and shielded by the great Royal HE/His Majesty Govt at the Centre more
Banks must be warned for such type of activities which troubles the common person. A bank will be charging for any transaction you perform from your account. more
This is really very serious issue to be addressed by the govt. immediately. Rather than chasing NPAs and looters Bank's focus is how to charge common man in different heads. Its' the same case with all banks not only SBI. Even HDFC & ICICI are also charging for minimum balance. They also charge for sending SMS alert on your mobile. more
These is my experience in the regime of BJP: 1. Banks have started fleecing the public very openly 2. Schools have raised there fees by 25% and also recovered the last year's reduction 3. Petrol prices have topped the charts 4. Taxes as a salaried person has skyrocketed to > 65% 5. Jobs are very very difficult to find 6. Prices of all the necessary 7. Series of Humangus Scams All in all, nothing is favourable to the public. more
