Misallocation/Misuse of Government Assets - Key Issues
Dear Friends,
Taking the subject of corruption a step further, today we would like to initiate the subject of misallocation/misuse of Government assets and properties.
We have cases where land is acquired under a Trust/NGO and then used for commercial purposes. From land grants at nominal rates to tax evasion, businesses/individuals have colluded in the past, there by cheating the State/Country and ultimately the tax payer.
With this post, we would like you to raise issues that you have come across in this area. Once we know the issues, we will have separate discussions on Root Causes and Solutions.
This is a critical subject and if the right solutions are implemented, it can help minimize Government losses and eventually add to Government funds that can be deployed for Development.

To stop this make a rule and pass the message to all Govt. employees that whoever is getting caught in misuse/misallocation and bribe cases punishment will be dismis from their job and seize there properties/asset except their ancestral property. more

Col. Latif comment is well appreciated.It is indeed required to abolish all such frèe properties for high posted individual and should be converted into hotels,lease out to 3rd psrty and earn revenue. Rgds more

The Govt./Politicians/Local Administrators and Private Players nexus is one of the main causes of this disease. Needs to be taken care of. regards. more
