Health is individual and family responsibility. Ads do not mean much. I doubt anyone would buy medicine without the advice of a practicing professional . If they do, only they are responsible for the consequences. Relying on government action or policy on advertising is pointless Same case with alcohol tobacco etc. I know doctors who smoke and drink. So these alerts during movie time does not make sense. Look what is happening with liquor ads in guise of caps, glasses cds etc. They are targeted to people who already know the drinks, just luring then to specific brand through promotion more
Catch the nanufacturers and those who gave the ad. more
Sarita: So, what is misleading in these ads? There are many cases of miscarriage and deaths due to people following some YouTube channel to deliver baby at home without help of doctors or trained nurses. This is medical negligence! So, govt is making efforts in educating people. I have tried Himalayas product to reduce Cholesterol by taking Sudh Gugul. I had results but came the shocker that the creatinine levels have increased way too much and it might damage my kidneys. Doctors reviewed my reports and suspected that I am taking some other medicines than the ones prescribed and I told them what I did. They immediately advised me to stop it. So, what is wrong in it? Until our traditional practices like AYUSH have proper backing through research, studies, etc., we cannot go behind them for certain treatments, mainly related to Cardiovascular disease, kidney, delivery, etc. In fact, AYUSH is successful in inventing cheap medicines for Sugar - but it is not a cure - just medicines. AYUSH should have medical research facilities similar to english medicines to study the side effects, etc. Govt should focus on that aspect more
Unproven treatments and unqualified persons claiming to be doctors are also promoted in TV channels On 25-Dec-2022 11:31 pm, Sarita S wrote: more
So be smart and don't buy them. Please do not push for government intervention. Our tax dollars should be used on more important things. more
