Misleading ads of Horlicks Complan Pediasure

My grandson till recently was on products made by complan and pediasure and he had almost gotten addicted to having these powders in his milk. The parents because of ads always thought they were really helpful in his growth. Tooth decay is a different story.

Does FSSAI or Consumer Dept look at these misleading ads by Indian food companies like the one below in Australia where they actually impose big fines. Surely cant rely on ASCI to do it.

FSSAI or Consumer Dept, seems to be not taking a look at these misleading ads by Indian food companies. They are silent spectactors. more
Misleading adds are very much there, and these too are being presented by leading personalities of Cine and sports.Nobody is there to control this. more
There is a provision of fine up to Rs ten lakhs for Misleading advertisement under FSSA 2006. You can report at official website of www.fssai.gov.in/foodsafetyconnect as well as to ASCL. ( Advertising Council) more
Contents are known, medical benefits are known to scientific community of the ingeredients ,but whether the formulation of nutritional supplement has benifts only a OMG term study could determine . We cannot condemn these food compliments if we are not willing .Pl do not buy .Allegation that it is a false claim is premature .In west lot of fortification is taking place even in fresh milk apart from other foods. It is better to concentrate our concern of organic production of basic food items like milk, meat, eggs and vegetables ,rice , cererials. more
It is advisable if the consumers make it a duty to report misleading advertisements to the Advertising Standards Council of India. The Department of Consumer Affairs also take look into the misleading advertisement if reported to them. more
