Misleading ads showing exchange prices

understand desire for more consumer visits or hits but retailers and websites should stop quoting exchange price as original price of a phone. Bank offers I can understand but exchange price is highly misleading as it has many layers/ not every device gets highest return price. Also not everyone exchanges.

Govt may take due action on this. Why are there no norms. Relying on an industry body to self regulate its own paying members is worst form of regulation in a country like India. Who will regulate all those giving ads in local papers in 80% of tier 3 4 5 towns. more

Sarika's claim is genuine, and she deserves to have clarity. If, I am not wrong, a dealer offers buy back price ,which, attracts buyer. Because, the manufacturer want a dealer to sell maximum pieces so that, he ( dealer) gets good incentive. This is a marketing strategy. All the same a buyer enqueres at various shops to understand various available schemes then, he opts for exchange with all original product buying. Such schemes are availed by buyers in TV, A/C, WASHING MACHINES OR ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC OR ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS. In some cases, parts of exchange pieces are valuable, which, a manufacturer encashes. Clarifi,if, I am wrong. more
Its too much to expect the government to intervene in each and every matter of much less or no importance. Customers are wise enough to decide the right and wrong ones. more
But customers are Happy to whatever exchange price is being quoted as one has to search for buyers to buy the old stuff & if no price is given it is sold in Raddi,so let the customers be happy more
