Misleading ads

Today i saw 2 ads one for indulekha oil of HUL which says hair regrowth happens with this oil. Its pure lies.

Second ad I saw was pediasure which says your child will grow much faster and properly with this.

I have tried both these products for 1 year or more and they make no difference.

Will the Govt take necessary action please? And put a stop to such misleading ads?? more

Business people do not miss any chance to sell their products through ads. Similarly we also should not miss any opportunity to express our opinion/ complaint / feedback about those products . If we hesitate we are losing a chance to settle score. YOU OPINION MATTERS AS CUSTOMER more
Cine/Sport/other personalities supporting those ads must also be punished suitably. more
Dear friends, we all want Government to act we ourselves will not. How many and for which minor points we expect the Government to act. Fact is we get carried away with the advertisements and want to try it out! We, the common man has become an easy customer and we only provide market to these manufacturers. We get easily fooled because we don't think logically. Has our generation not grown intelligent without using these products? Then why we go to buy such products? more
Advertisements are worded very trickily many a times. They make an impression as desired by the management, yet cannot be taken to court because one or two words make it legally correct. A case in point is the Lifebouy soap. Although all of us call it a soap, it is technically not a soap. The company never write it as a soap, but a bathing bar ! more
The government should immediately come out with stricter laws against misleading ads with provisions for heavy penalty and proceeding of criminal cases as market is flushed with misleading ads only to dupe the consumers. A full stop in this mania must be drawn at the earliest. more
