Misleading statements by AIIMS Director

This AIIMS Director Gulleria keeps misleading media and media keeps misleading us people. Everyone remember he is the same person who was clueless about 2nd wave and predicted 3rd wave by mid july and has said yday that there will be no 3rd wave

Singapore Covid infections jumped to 2000/day see attached. They did everything correctly after the initial spike - vaccinated almost everyone, enforced strict quarantines & lockdowns, contact tracing. For a year they held it down - and then boom. This is a tough virus to escape and everyone who predicts likes this makes a fool of themselves and in process gulerias of the world mislead a large number of people who will now drop masks and get together like there is no tomorrow. more

Doctors all over country have earned blindly ,with no responsibility. They simply said patient is no more due to heart failure. Covid has made medical system very very rich ,technicians attended the patients doctors never went near patient. So AIIMS director was also thinking to earn still more as no check by authorities on any doctors govt/ private.. Rather those we took treatment at home with good food survived otherwise from hospital hardly patients came home. more
Citizens have to protect themselves. Follow SOPs. more
I tend to do with Nikita to a large extent but perhaps it may not be correct to state that Dr Guleria has been misleading. His interpretation of the situation might not be correct. Yes, a person in his position should be double sure before one goes to media. more
So moral of the story is we citizens must look after oneself and others by continuing Covid protocol. Also, we citizens must wake up, get together and demand accountability of our elected representatives as well as, accountability of political parties. more
It's a fact that spreading of Corono is on account of various factors. In India Govt became complacent after controlling first wave through massive lockdown and we saw the havoc it created during second wave , which taught us hard lessons. It is wiser to speak on threat and be extra cautious especially in India where common man would have thrown all guards . Even today u wouldn't see people complying with basic requirement of mask outside major cities. Under these circumstances, when the whole world is not clear on next wave, a doctor of his repute whose interview is telecast in entire country the approach taken is best option. more
