Misleading the consumers by members on an non-existing issue of monthly/bi-monthly billing.

I refer to the comment of Shri @Nalvinder Puri quoting "i AGREE WITH YOU. I AM FACING THE SAME PROBLEM SINCE A LONG TIME. INSPITE OF COMPLAINTS TO SDO AND JE, THERE IS NO RESPONSE AND SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. DHBVN IS TAKING FULL ADVANTAGE FROM ITS CUSTOMERS BECAUSE THERE IS NO RESISTANCE FROM ANY SIDE. NEEDS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY." against a post titled "Exploitation by DHBVN". No doubt the DHBVN is exploiting but not in the way the members are commenting. My reaction to the comments are:
1. Let Nalvinder Puri provides the complete details where it has been stated that he is facing the similar problems as reported by the author of the post for a long time in spite of the complaints to SDO and JE. First of all, there is no issue as such as stated in the said post i.e it won't make any difference if in the first bi-monthly billing he has been charged on an ad-hoc basis and then in the next bi-monthly billing the higher slab rates would apply. It seems the issue has been reported without any basis. On receipt of the details from Shri Nalvinder Puri, I would myself would take up the issue with DHBVN if his complaint found genuine.
2. Time and again, it has been stated by me that it won't make any difference to the consumers if the bills are raised on a monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly basis as far as slab rates are concerned. I would advise all the members to study in detail their bills before raising any post or commenting on the post. There are enough rumors that are being spread that the bi-monthly bills are charged almost doubled due to higher slab rates. It is the desire of the Discoms to have a monthly billing cycle as it being an advantage to the Discoms.
I will be awaiting the details of the complaint from Shri Nalvinder Puri for assisting him in case his complaint is found genuine. more

Dear Mr. Nalvinder, No where I blamed you. The blame was on someone else who are trying to mislead. As far as your case is concerned, this is where I have brought out the post exactly matching your complaint and I wanted your feedback on my post. But the issue got diluted because of someone diverting the issue. Nevertheless, please provide the complete details as I have got similar feedback from others in Faridabad. I am trying to put up a consolidated complaint claiming refund to all those from whom surcharge has been collected for no fault of consumers. I would request for an email with bills and a brief. This email either can be sent to your area SDO with a cc to my email. Yes, your case seems to be peculiar and need to be studied. Rest assured, I would be pleased to initiate communication with Sr. Management of DHBVN. DHBVN has not obliged you by adjusting the previous payment as that is the only procedure to resolve the complaint. Take another reading on some date and raise another bill by adjusting the payment already made. more

Mr. VirmaI I have no reason to give any false report as accused by you. Let me share the most recent incident. Meter readings were taken in my area on 9th August and bills were gven to consumers by meter readers. My bill was not generated saying that there is some system issue and it will be posted later. Inspite of repeated complaints nothing happened. I personally went to DHBVN offfice and got the bill generated on 25.08.2020. You will be surprised to know that the bill payment date was 19.08.2020 for bill generated on 25.09.2020. I had no option but to pay the bill in order to avoid disconnection. In this bill the average rate was Rs.7.70 per unit. Late payment surcharge paid Rs.705.00 for no fault of mine. Again lodged the compaint on DHBVN website about the surcharge. Now comes the climax. I find that a new bill has been generated on 15.09.2020 with cumulative meter reading taken from 8.06.2020 upto 1.09.2020. The amount paid earlier was adjusted somehow. Again the payment due date is given before the issue date of bill. Surcharge paid Rs.231.00 again.Now average unit cost is Rs.8.10 per unit. Straight increase of Rs.1650.00 only in the sundry charges. What is your take on this sir? Kindly educate me. Looking forward. Nalvinder Singh Puri more
