Misplaced confidence of us Indians

50% of us circle members are saying that we are confident India will effectively handle 3rd wave of covid

May I ask what gives u such confidence given how miserably Central and State Govts failed at handling 2nd wave.

As second wave was very abrupt with high force of public becoming sick was ,as good as sudden landfall, flood or earthquake, tsunami etc. Authroties had provisions to meet the situation, but, unexpectedly the infection rates were very high. Rather than blaming the authorities , we,the general public are responsible for second spike. If public behaves the situation casually ,with abiding covid protocol, let the nation be assured, the third wave ,even forth or fifth wave,if any on pipe line. more
What are the Duties and Responsibilities of Citizens? Are they fulfilling it properly? Without people's cooperation this program can never be successful. We should finish Vaccinations at the earliest. Govt must supply it and people should take it without any inhibition. Opposition Leaders and Media must stop negative publicity. There is no sense in just Blaming the Govt. To vaccinate such a Huge population is a gigantic task. more
I wonder who these 50% are. They are probably people who have not been relating to the current facts on ground. Awareness is poor in our country. The politicians response and casual attitude is the reason why the second wave was so damaging. Lack of facilities and capacity is a problem that cannot be corrected overnight. It takes years to build such infrastructure and whatever be the efforts, a fresh surge will see the system breaking down and causing havoc. more
Deaths in India have been understated. Government obviously ok with this understatement. False data insofar as using mathematical modeling for scientifically dealing with focusing on pandemic prone areas or conditions, is valueless. This when we endured, what was convenient for government, imposition of the world's strictest lockdown. Only thing going our way can be said to be vaccinating the public, with over 29 crores vaccinated, that provides hope. Also aid coming to India by way of ventilators, oxygen and from Indian diaspora helping India. more
The failure is due to common man also. This time all were alert. more
