Misplaced FSSAI priorities

The ceo of fssai has been quoted in newspaper saying fssai will now get into rating of restaurants.

I want to ask him - as it stands many restaurant owners get a license after paying bribes. What makes you think the same inspectors will not demand more bribe for giving food safety rating?

Is this addl revenue stream for inspectors? Pls illustrate. more

Your pointed issue has merits to discuss as being Indians its beyond our imagination that an inspector from a government department will honestly bring out the factual position obtaining without being seduced to bribe offers! more
Very pertinent. God knows if this is another move for those extra earnings - afterall cuts go up to bureaucrats & politicians. more
If rating system is planned to be introduced, make it fully online having No scope for human personal interaction. It may block bribing system wherever applicable more
Even though our PM does not want in all places without bribery nothing is being accepted. Hence for a common man who wants an order he has to pay the bribe. More the regulations more bribe needs to be paid more
MAY BE. more
Yes, I , too, endorse your view !!!! more
This may be the aim of this rating by fssai, to not to be left behind and "behti ganga main wo bhi haath dho lein". more
Absolutely Correct. Corruption is our both National Heritage and Tradition. Honesty is rated as Nonsense or Mental illness in Govt offices of our country. Even private sectors are not lagging behind in this malady. more
I AGREE WITHTHE ABOVE STATEMENT.WHEN THE TOP MAN IS CORRUPT , 90% ALL DOWN THE LINE WILL BE CORRUPT. ORIF CORRUPTION IS GOING ON AT LOWER LEVEL AND TOP BOSS IS SILENT WITHOUT STOPPING IT,THIS ALSO IS INDIRECT CORRUPTIN LOOTING A COMMON MAN.OUR EX PM HONORABLE SRI MANMOHAN SINGH IS EXAMPLE FOR THIS.
