Mobile phone stolen in BEST bus in Mumbai
I have lost my new mobile phone Samsung A7 while travelling in Bus Route #346 ie from Gokuldham Sessions court to Goregaon(East) on 25th March 2019, Monday at 11:20 AM.
My phone IMEI number is 351578109160804.
IMEI # is no more useful for the phone owner, if it is lost
It is useful only for Police to track criminals.
@SamsungMobileIN @VodafoneIN @MumbaiPolice -- all did not support me
Phone must be deactivated forever.
I lodged complaint @ Dindoshi Police station with my IMEI #.
But nothing is done.
There must be automatic system to ban IMEI numbers which are reported in Police database for the lost phone.
So any Service provider in India can not provide service to lost phone. more

Since most mobiles these days are Smart Phones, there are chances that it is pinged to Gmail. I had tracked my mobile which I had lost while commuting to work from South Delhi to Noida (UP). I immediately made an Online Police Complaint - so that I can get a new Sim deactivating the old one. From IMEI No. I tracked my cell and found it was activated with a Reliiance Jio sim in Patna - Bihar. So this is the modus operandi of thieves, they steal it at one place and through network the mobile reaches the next state where it is sold. They all are aware that Police Adminstration of one state does not cooperate with other and they take advantage of this to consolidate their business. I had written to Reliance Jio but they in turn advised me to approach through proper channel for the Name, Address & contact details of the new owner. Sudheer Mehta Ji it would be useful for people if you could also share Email Id to which the information needs to be sent. more

I LOST VIVO V11 ON APRIL 02 AT CHENNAI BUSTAND(PARIS 1215 HRS) WHILE GETTING DOWN. LODGED COPLAINT WITH POLICE AND COULD GET NEW SIMS. NOW- A-DAYS AS THE MOBILE IS STOLEN, SIMS ARE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY; THEN ALL THE PARTS ARE DISMANTLED SO THAT IMEI TRACKING WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE. GOVT TO TRACK SUCH DISMANTLING OF MOBILE PHONES. more
